INTEGRATED HOUSING, THE PENINSULA, BURSWOOD

Niall worked with the Mirvac project team to develop the detailed design of the housing component at the Peninsula at Burswood in addition to developing house types along Victoria Park Drive, the entrance road and the Circus.  The courtyard homes frame the view corridor across the circus to the Perth city skyline. The houses each have a double and single storey component facing the street, The single storey element allows the winter sun to penetrate to the rear courtyards. The entry houses are on lots of sizes between 350 sq/m and 450 sq/m with a zero lot eastern boundary.

The terraces are contemporary in form and their design has been undertaken in combination with he design of the front gardens, the streetscape, verge vegetation and the circular park.

'Integrated Housing' refers to a design and development process whereby the land subdivision is informed by the development of the masterplan and housing design with land titles being surveyed and created only when the houses are substantially complete.
