WESLEY QUARTER

While with Mirvac, Niall developed the analysis and strategic concepts for the redevelopment of retail and commercial space in the obsolete Wesley Arcade and old QBE tower. This was done in conjunction with the client, The Uniting Church, Mirvac and the City of Perth. Niall went on to produce all DA drawings and associated documentation and was engaged to maintain design intent through all construction documentation and on site construction stages working with Hassell, the documentation architects.

This is a highly visible landmark corner site adjacent to major thoroughfare / plaza with a mixture of active laneways, commercial shop frontages and landscaped spaces offering pedestrians areas of respite.

The project involves the re-activation of an important heritage site, the reinvigoration of uninviting anti-social spaces within the CBD and the dramatic increase in net lettable floor area resulting from the removal of the internal pedestrian mall and re-addressing of the public streets and laneways.
