We aim to create a built environment that enriches lives physically and emotionally with two primary areas of focus. We specialise in the design of passive solar, energy efficient homes and designing for bushfire prone areas. Coming from a European background, we also have a love of traditional Architecture and extensive experience with renovating heritage buildings.

Irene prides herself on forming close working relationships and providing a highly personalised service for all her clients. As a busy Mum, she understands that a modern family home should not only be beautiful, but practical and functional too. Having grown up in rural Ireland, Irene has a love of country living and all things horse related.
She obtained a Bachelor of Architectural Science Degree and Diploma in Architecture with Honours from Trinity College Dublin in 1995. Irene attained 20 years of professional experience working with award winning Architectural firms in Ireland and Australia before setting up Coveney Browne Design with Niall in 2015. Irene has a wide range of experience in commercial, industrial, hospitality and multi residential design.
Her principal area of expertise is private residential design, with a focus on sustainable living and the design of energy efficient, passive solar homes that are aesthetically beautiful and innovative but also practical, functional and financially viable.

Niall has spent 30 years creating beautiful buildings and is well known within the industry for his talent for design. He brings a wealth of knowledge and understanding of construction methods and detailing to all our projects. Originally a city boy from Dublin, Niall has called Australia home for 20 years. As avid cyclist, he loves to explore the endless roads and trails of rural WA.
Niall obtained a Bachelor of Architectural Science Degree and Diploma in Architecture with Honours from Trinity College Dublin in 1994. He has 26 years of experience working at executive level for award winning Architectural firms in Dublin, London, Sydney and Perth.
He spent 10 years as WA New Business Manager for Mirvac Design and was responsible for design and master-planning of new projects, potential acquisitions and co-ordination of public tenders. He also had roles at this level in significant projects in New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria. Niall spent 5 years as Principal at Studio 53 Architects where he continued to expand his knowledge and expertise until the firm merged with Hames Sharley Architects. He is currently an Associate with HSA and Creative Lead on one of their design teams.

We have a combined professional experience of over 50 years. Unlike many larger firms we do not delegate work to junior staff so you know you will always have a senior professional working on your project.
Working from a home studio allows us to keep overheads to a minimum and offer a very competitive fee structure compared with other firms with equivalent capabilities.
